I have a similar weird thing.
I have an icon on the desktop showing Audio-cd.volume
I can look at the properties. It says
Type: Unknown type (application/octet stream)
Size: unknown
Location: x-nautilus-desktop:///
Volume: Unknown
Opened: unknown
Changed: Unknown.
