I updated totem from 2.28.0-0ubuntu1 to 2.28.0-0ubuntu4 and the problem seems
to be solved.
Now totem is closed when clicking the close button while playing video (and
audio).

you should use ubuntu-bug to send bugs or at least give the exact
package versions you are using. the issue is similar to bug #421318
which is fixed in 2.28.0-0ubuntu2
