I just reported a similar applet.py bug that was marked as duplicate of this one, although I never used a printer. so for me its not a printer problem it was with the bluewho app. As I paroozed google I notice other similar bugs with people complaining about memory leaks. So, I start htop and sure

It complains that the Python module "cups" (from the python-cups package) is missing. According to the package dependencies the module must be installed. So there must have been done package dependency overrides or files must have gotten corrupted. Please run the command sudo apt-get install --rei
