Yes it's still an issue in Lucid. I've setup my account in empathy, then desinstalled empathy and installed pidgin. The bug occured at this point. To fix it, I had to reinstall empathy, delete my MSN account, and re-desinstall empathy. quite hard :) -- Pidgin account disabled on status change

@Joel: right! I also removed empathy, but this error occures. Surely, libempathy-common is the problem, but I can't remove it, because that would also remove other packages, including indicator-applet-session, indicator-session, ubuntu-desktop. -- Pidgin account disabled on status change (MSN)

This problem affects me too. I used Empathy but then installed Pidgin, so I have my account set up on both. indicator-applet-session launches empathy even if pidgin is already running, resulting in disconnecting pidgin from the net. Indeed if someone sends a message while pidgin's account is
