Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xdg-user-dirs
With accounts originating from a previous release of Ubunut (Jaunty), an upgrade to Karmic yields in strange configuration of the XDG user dirs. For me, the following are set (this used to be $HOME/Musik, $HOME/Bilder and %HOME/Videos on Jaunty). XDG_MUSIC_DIR="$HOME/" XDG_PICTURES_DIR="$HOME/" XDG_VIDEOS_DIR="$HOME/" After using this account on Karmic, these three folders are set to the home directory. With users added on Karmic the directories are set correctly. apt-cache policy xdg-user-dirs xdg-user-dirs: Installiert: 0.11-0ubuntu1 Kandidat: 0.11-0ubuntu1 Versions-Tabelle: *** 0.11-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch) Release: 9.10 ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Oct 13 00:07:33 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: xdg-user-dirs 0.11-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-13.44-generic SourcePackage: xdg-user-dirs Uname: Linux 2.6.31-13-generic i686 ** Affects: xdg-user-dirs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- [Karmic] Some user-dirs-config gets lost after upgrade from Jaunty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/449919 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
