Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: synaptic

Hi,

I like to use open source software, but it's really hard to figure out
what packages are good or not. Usually I try to make my determination
based on the popularity of an app on the internet.

It would be a huge help if I could just see which ones are most popular
in Synaptic. If there was a way to record how many times an app is
downloaded or installed would be great. Could there be a download
tracker?

ProblemType: Bug
