Unfortunately, I did not try: I've installed the version 8.10 instead of 9.10 and everything works fine. But I am sure that it has nothing to do with keyboard and so on, but, quite possibly, with some incompatibility of Fujitsu-Simens hardware with 7.0,8.05 and 9.10 versions of Ubuntu. Igor On

Then which file should be inspected and corrected? Facts: I tried different models of keyboards, behaviour is the same, - with booting via Ubuntu 8.14, kernel 2.6.27-14-generic this problem does not arise, while via Ubuntu 8.15, kernel 2.6.28-15-generic it does... -- self-generating 5 every
