i also test that, but when i login with the new kernel i don't have
graphic interface, maybe because i obtanin (bad exit status: 6)
instalation failed, when the new kernel it was configuring nvidia
drivers :
1) sudo apt-get remove linux-image-2.6.31-14-generic
2) sudo rm -rf
i resolved the problem :
sudo aptitude reinstall nvidia-185-kernel-source nvidia-185-libvdpau
nvidia-185-modaliases nvidia-glx-185
after that :
sudo aptitude reinstall linux-image-2.6.31-14-generic linux-
headers-2.6.31-14 linux-headers-2.6.31-14-generic
after that there are some problem with
