As all the installation program translations are included regardless of
the langpacks, it'd be nice to have the icon translated also for those
languages for which langpacks are not included on the CD.

The problem only happens on the live-CD, and it happens for every
.desktop file that is copied to the Desktop. The translations are there,
but they are not shown.
Seems to happen with every language (tested French and Finnish), and
does not occur on an installed system. What could be different
As a related note, especially towards the other pieces in the original
bug report, the final Install button on the last page of the installer
is not translated. This is clearly a problem still in ubiquity.

Confirming, bug #95883 was open on nautilus about that. I discussed with
Martin about it, removing the .desktop X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain makes the
translation being used

Good to know it's been acknowledged. Meanwhile, I created bug 103925
about the missing Install-button translation in ubiquity, which means
this bug's there only for the menu item Install translation, like the
subject says nowadays.

I renamed the bug title. The Install with its description is still not
translated in Ubuntu 7.04, daily development builds.
