version 2.30.

Just as a note, you can always run killall notify-osd to stop the
notifications. You don't have to worry about starting a daemon as a new
instance will be created the next time a notification is requested by an
application.

This is indeed an awful feature.. I accidently clicked on it wondering
what it was, and even after closing the application I'm getting
notifications appear about a whole load of updates I have no interest
in! This should be a configurable option, and disabled by default.

I'd suggest the possibliity of specifying OSD settings more
specifically.
Perhaps this is more of a feature request than a bug. (RSS would be
rather cool too ;) I'd like to get RSS feeds to show up as they come
in).
The main point being that I'd like to set OSD to monitor hmmm (with

At very least prevent the public time line from sending notifications,
no one could have any use for such a constant stream of notifications
being displays. Ideally I would like to be remove pubic as an option. As
gordo said, pressing public or the twitter account leads to notify-osd
spam heaven.
