I have performed the same test with 7.10 and hibernate appears to be
working.

I gave up trying to hibernate my machine a long time ago and I am surviving
without.

Almost the same problem here on HP nx8220. Resuming from hibernate does
not give back the saved state and md1 is marked as not clean and
immediately starts to resync.
