ENOSPC 28 /* No space left on device */
** Changed in: ecryptfs-utils (Ubuntu)
Status: New = Invalid
** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
Status:
I still believe it is an error; In my opinion ecryptfs should gracefully
handle the ENOSPC error by propagating it to the upper layers, and not
write scary log messages. I vote for reopening the bug.

You received this bug
That's the point of the bug:
I got IO errors when rsyncing an ISO image to my ecryptfs home dir instead of
ENOSPACE and saw scary logs in dmesg.
I wish I'd get ENOSPC in the application running on top of ecryptfs and
not to get any awful message in dmesg; this should be a normal operating
I've fixed the issue of ENOSPC not being bubbled up in 2.6.32 -
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ecryptfs/+bug/317664
However, you will still have to cover your eyes when looking through the
logs. ;) eCryptfs is more verbose than a filesystem should be and I
will start squelching some of the messages
Ok; since you say this is fixed in 2.6.32 (I had 2.6.31 back when I
filed the bug) and since we have 2.6.32 in lucid, I'm closing the linux
task as fix released; the ecryptfs-utils one was just to allow easier
tracking of ecryptfs bugs.
Thanks for the info!

Adding ecryptfs-utils task as Dustin asked me to do so last time I filed
an ecryptfs bug against linux.
