When booting, a message: "floppy drive(s): fd0 is 1.44M" appears although I do
not have a floppy drive.
'~$ iotop' shows the process 'mount /media/floppy 0' for about 10 mins
I am having the same problem.
Kernel is reporting that there is a floppy drive however no floppy drive
available.
Problem started from Ubuntu 9.10. Also in 10.04 I have a floppy entry.
