I suddenly had this issue today. Evolution wouldn't go anywhere.
I opened up the System Monitor and killed evolution-alarm-notify, and
that made everything load up. It looks like that's what's freezing.
I am on Karmic x64.

Got the same problem today. I provided what I think is a better
backtrace (because I installed more debug symbols). I use Google
Calendars so I was able to verify that I had no All day event as
someone suspected earlier.

Turns out it could be calendar related after all: my clock applet
freezes gnome-panel when I click on the datetime. The attached
backtrace's Thread 1 seems interesting.

It's working again, I had a 24h task in the calendar which most likely
caused the issue.

This just hit me as well. Exact same issue and terminal readout.
I am at an internet cafe now, so I will try again at home in case it is an
issue with the ISP

ie, I don't see any of my existing emails, however the
~.evolution/mail/local/inbox file seems to be fine (and I hope to got it

Yeah, I keep having to resort to Webmail as Evolution is just soo laggy.
Sometimes it'll boot up and be lightning fast, and others it will be
sooo slow and laggy it takes 10 minutes to open an email.

It finally loaded up for me and mostly works, but it sometimes just
