Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

when windows open or close I hear a pop in my speakers also hear a pop when
recording using mic and recordmydesktop
aside from pop totem plays sound fine but the audio is sometimes broken(half a
word missing or words mashed together in recording)when video upload to youtube
it becomes more apparent it sounds like something runnning a slight echo loop
so audio will sound fine then bad then fine again randomly
also alsamixer controls not built in to sound preferences command must be done
manually
8 channel sound option not available in sound preference it is in alsamixer
in sound preferences I must use the analog stereo duplex profile for mic to
capture and sound play
in previous build 9.04 I removed pulseaudio and compiled the driver and it
worked without issue mic clear line in option clear
does this need to be removed for ALC888 to work proper
I do not see the proper setup to achieve the previous results and do not wish
damage to audio chip
