I have integrated sound hda-intel but it shows up as realtek acl889a I installed linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic and rebooted. I can hear the sound now but it is reversed and I have a feeling that this bug and bug #275289 may be somehow connected. -- No sound : chip 92HD75B3X5

So, I went into the Synaptic pacakge manager, and installed the linux- backports-modules-alsa-karmin-generic I still have no sound, and have a dv7 3065dx What else can I do? I just did a fresh install of 9.10 and am At a loss. I am still VERY new to this, but would like to get this issue
