Don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing this isn't a bug, I'm trying to
argue that this isn't the place to fix it. I'll look at the right
package to refile this against when isn't 1:20am, unless someone beats
me to it.

The Broadcom modules are included by default in UNR, and please stop
calling me Shirley.
Seriously, am I the only one who has complained about being unable to
use this out of the box? This was never a problem in the past releases.
I can't be the only HP/Dell Mini user out there who was unable to
Surely this dependency belongs against the package that provides the
Broadcom modules, not Ubuntu Netbook Remix's default set of packages?

Oh, don't get me wrong, I have had a number of situations in other
distros where the built-in wifi modules didn't work and I didn't have
any developer utilities to help me. It is the most annoying and
frustrating thing to encounter. I am just wondering if maybe this
should be set as a feature req
I don't think so... Many Netbooks come with a Broadcom chip and if the
installation of the bmcwl package fails, then they won't be able to use
wifi.
Seems pretty critical to Netbook Remix to me.

If I remember correctly, patch comes as a part of the developer
utilities. I believe that the developer utilities are not installed by
default because netbook users usually are not programmers. This should
probably be set as a feature request, maybe?
