ok, solved!!!
remembering The update manager identified some updates, but blocked the
avaliable new kernel (don't know why). Then i get all the avaliable updates
(including new kernel) by using synaptic (i like synaptic) when i restarted
the grub2 was prompting. I tried so many ways to rest
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. While you are running Karmic you seem to be booting the Jaunty
version of the kernel. This likely is the root of the problem, please
try booting the karmic kernel, 2.6.31, and see if that resolves the
issue. Thanks
