I can confirm that the version of python-profiler in karmic-proposed,
2.6.4-0ubuntu1, has a version that matches the version of python. Simple
attempts to profile python scripts and read profiles generated by the
2.6.3 version all worked and showed no signs of regression, though it
wasn't exercised
python-profiler will be fixed with the sync request filed in #513247

number should match with the python2.6 core package.
