Public bug reported:

Hello
I'm working with TC65 GSM Module, from Siemens/Cinteron. This module have a
USB-Serial connection with the computer.. In ubuntu 9.04 (32bits) worked
perfect, even better in it native plataform (win32).
Now I've reinstalled ubuntu, with 64bits and latest version (9.10), and I can't
work with this Serial device properly. I can make connections and also "talk"
to it with PuTTY , but the connection is really unstable. In addtion, I got
"ghosts" ttyACMs, when the unstability happens.
ls /dev/ttyACM*
/dev/ttyACM0 /dev/ttyACM1 /dev/ttyACM2 /dev/ttyACM3
(note, there should be NO ttyACMs, this are all ghosts and this command was ran
when the device was not connected)
Reconnecting the USB cable seems to make it work again, but the "ghost"s ttyACM
still there, and a restart is need to clean up. In this case, the device will
appear in /dev/ttyACM4, and I will be able to connect to it by just this tty.

I made a logfile analyze, in order to help in the correction of this
bug.. I attached the file named logfile_analyze.log, where I compiled
all logfiles in one file, keeping the important stuff just (you will
like it).

Just a summary I wrote (you can check this on logfile):
Oct 31 00:57:53 Normally plugged on USB (ttyACM0)
Oct 31 01:04:34 First unwanted disconnect. (ttyACM0)
Oct 31 01:04:47 Autommatically reidentified (ttyACM0)
Oct 31 01:05:49 Second unwanted disconnect. (ttyACM0)
Oct 31 01:05:50 Autommatically reidentified (ttyACM0)
Oct 31 01:05:53 Third unwanted disconnect. (ttyACM0)
Oct 31 01:05:54 Autommatically reidentified (ttyACM0)
Oct 31 01:05:54 Duplicated auto reidentified (ttyACM1)
Oct 31 01:06:00 Duplicated auto reidentified (ttyACM2)
Oct 31 01:06:01 Duplicated auto reidentified (ttyACM3)
Oct 31 01:06:02 Duplicated auto reidentified (ttyACM4)
Oct 31 01:06:10 Removed device (ttyACM4)

All this happens randomically, but always happen with the device on usb,
some times imediattly, sometimes take longer... Sometimes it just
disconnects and disappears (need to replug USB)...

I really need this fixed to work in the development of my software, so
if you need any more information, feel free to contact me.
