Closing as Fix Released; we've done tons of work on IPv6 in Oneiric and
things should largely work. Any testing if of course more than welcome.

route with static IP settings, but all of autoconfiguration and DHCPv6

I have a similar problem. I am unable to connect to my wireless network
when ipv6 is enabled. When I disable ipv6 I can gain a connection and
then I can enable ipv6 afterwards.
Affects network speeds when watching Hulu.

I am getting the same error here: I had IPv6 running on my network
including to my laptop while running 9.04.
After upgrading to 9.10, wireless would disconnect, saying that it couldn't get
IPv6 config.

report) with ip6tables and state module which was blocking all icmpv6
packet and the autoconf.

Same thing for me.
I would add that I have ipv6 working on my whole network except with the
affected ubuntu karmic laptop.
I mean even if ipv6 is available on the lan, network-manager still doesn't
configure it (and stop ipv4 to be configured).
