I've experienced the same problem. I read Please install (or reinstall)
package libxine1-ffmpeg and try again. and i perform this method, good

I have the same problem. Early in the first installation Kaffeine DVB
allowed to see, when you install the VLC player, Kaffeine stopped
working. No matter how many times you install or reinstall
libxine1-ffmpeg or libavcodec-Unstripped-52. I tried purging and

I have a similar problem relating to demultiplexer plugin.
I can get the channel list, but cannot play. Once double click on a channel to
play, Kaffine will say
Kaffine says Cannot find demultiplexer plugin for the given media data.
My specs:
ubuntu 9.10
tv card: AVerTV Hybrid Volar HX A827 .
Please install (or reinstall) package libxine1-ffmpeg and try again.
