Sorry, I reinstalled from the bottom up and the problem is gone,
obviously it had nothing to do with your end, just crufty stuff in my box.

Are you still dealing with this problem? It sound as something went
wrong on the upgrade, was there anything special you had done in
OpenOffice before the upgrade that could have caused this? E.g. using
any extensions, changed settings, etc.
