Public bug reported: Binary package hint: grub2
grub-common is version 1.97~beta4-1ubuntu3. os-prober is version 1.35. Yesterday, I went through the following steps: * Delete all partitions from the hard drive. * Install 64-bit Windows 7 at the beginning of the free space. * Boot into Windows 7 and update it. * Install 64-bit Ubuntu 9.10 in the remaining free space. * Update Ubuntu 9.10. * Comment the "GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT" line in /etc/default/grub. * Run "sudo update-grub". * Reboot. Now Windows 7 does not show up in my boot menu. ** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- grub2 does not detect Windows 7 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/468856 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
