This package is currently a recommended package already. It doesn't go
in the depends because its not required for mythtv to work (not all
setups require xmltv, for example DVB over the air guide - which
available in the UK)

Hmm. Coming back to this one.. there should be a smarter way of doing
this. If you are in a locale that would require xmltv-util for normal
operation (e.g. UK), then install it. This should be doable within apt,
no?

mythfilldatabase only needs xmltv-util if you're not using zap2it.
Since zap2it is the recommended method anyway this isn't normally
needed.
