Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Hi all,

I tried to compile gnome-panel from the Ubuntu sources on two different
machines but failed.

Specific error during "make" is:

calendar-window.c:46:42: error: libgnome/gnome-desktop-utils.h: No such
file or directory

Versions:
libgnome-desktop-dev: 2.28.1-0ubuntu2
gnome-panel: 2.28.0-0ubuntu6

Solution: (not so very nice)
put gnome-desktop-utils.h into the folder applets/clock/libgnome

The whole story in more detail:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1310085

I suspect that this is the fault of libgnome-desktop-dev and not gnome-
panel. Although from what I could see the compiler flag
(-DGNOME_DESKTOP_USE_UNSTABLE_API) was set in libgnome-desktop-dev and
in calendar-window.c there is the appropriate define (#define
GNOME_DESKTOP_USE_UNSTABLE_API).

Best,
Arno
