This is a rather old bug. I agree that input of foreign languages can
still be difficult to get right at times.
Do you still consider the support information available through yelp and
man to be insufficient?

On Intrepid :
man scim | grep im-switch
No information whatsoever.
Language input has improved in Ubuntu, but it's still missing in certain
areas (and maybe still for some locales, since that was the problem for
a while and I only can vouch for one or 2 locales).

I've never written a man page. But I guess it would help if you wrote
up what you know for inclusion in a man page. Maybe we can then get
somebody to prepare a diff against the current man page.
