So, hibernate has been fairly functional, although not full proof.
Specifically, if during hibernate or resuming the power is not
connected, the wireless will fail. I can reset the wireless by rmmod-ing
and then modprobe-ing wl, but then the computer crashes in a few minutes
randomly. I don't know
Ok, the problem seems to be with the video quirks of acpi. Here are the
following steps that lead me to this conclusion:
1) suspend
2) resume
3) switch to vt-1 and then vt-7
4) check the jobs, and notice that 99video and vbetools are still running.
If I kill 99video, then the computer starts
Following the comment from bug #469734, it seems that hibernate is
working without a problem. So for now, I'm switching to hibernate as
default as well.
