Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kile
When I started Kile for the first time after the Kubuntu 9.04 -> 9.10 upgrade, I got a dialog box asking "The standard tool list need to be reloaded because of the switch from KDE3 to KDE4. This will overwrite any changes in the tools you have made. Do you want to reload the list now (recommended)?" I don't know anything about a "standard tool list", and since I was using Kile regularly in 9.04, whatever the "standard tool list" is, it's something users need not know about when using Kile. Kile should not ask a question like this without providing more information, including information about making copies of whatever "changes in the tools" it is going to overwrite. Besides, 9.04->9.10 wasn't a KDE 3 to KDE 4 transition at all, so... (or did 9.04 have KDE 3 Kile? Again, users need not know this) ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Nov 4 18:22:24 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/kile NonfreeKernelModules: vboxnetadp vboxnetflt vboxdrv usbhid nls_iso8859_1 nls_cp437 vfat fat usb_storage ip6table_filter ip6_tables ipt_MASQUERADE iptable_nat nf_nat nf_conntrack_ipv4 nf_defrag_ipv4 xt_conntrack nf_conntrack binfmt_misc bridge stp bnep ppdev snd_hda_codec_realtek snd_hda_intel snd_hda_codec snd_hwdep snd_pcm_oss snd_mixer_oss snd_pcm snd_seq_dummy snd_seq_oss snd_seq_midi snd_rawmidi snd_seq_midi_event arc4 ecb snd_seq iptable_filter snd_timer iwl3945 snd_seq_device ip_tables iwlcore btusb joydev x_tables uvcvideo snd mac80211 soundcore sdhci_pci videodev snd_page_alloc sdhci lp ricoh_mmc v4l1_compat cfg80211 psmouse serio_raw acer_wmi parport led_class dm_raid45 xor fbcon tileblit font bitblit softcursor ohci1394 tg3 ieee1394 i915 drm i2c_algo_bit video output intel_agp agpgart Package: kile 1:2.1.0~svn1014763beta2-1ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_IN SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: kile Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic i686 ** Affects: kile (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- Unclear question on first Kile startup after 9.04->9.10 upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/474143 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kile in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
