Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 apt-cache policy rhythmbox rhythmbox: Installiert: 0.12.5-0ubuntu5 Kandidat: 0.12.5-0ubuntu5 Versions-Tabelle: *** 0.12.5-0ubuntu5 0 500 http://localhost karmic-proposed/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 0.12.5-0ubuntu4 0 500 http://localhost karmic/main Packages Rhythmbox keeps silent, while playing certain mp3-files. It's more or less randomly, but if a file can't be played once, it will happen all the time. I can't find any regularity, it often happens, that one file from one and the same album can be played, but others not. When Rhythmbox is started from the commandline, it doesn't give any hints, when playing the file, what could be the problem.
