[Radeon 9200] [Mac Mini (powerpc)] drm fails to initialize the radeon module,
consequently direct rendering is disabled.
Slightly simular setup: powermac G4, also with ATI, I get:
drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0
drmOpenDevice: open result is 8, (OK)
drmOpenByBusid: Searching for BusID pci::00:10.0
drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0

As suggested I tried with the opion UseFBDev = false or true on
Edgy, with both UseFBDev value it failed.
dmesg
[ 937.371124] [drm] Initialized radeon 1.25.0 20060524 on minor 0
[ 938.546246] agpgart: Putting AGP V2 device at :00:0b.0 into 4x mode
[ 938.546258] agpgart: Putting AGP V2
Can you test this on Edgy RC so we can see if this problems still
exists?

source-2.6.15/+bug/46578
changing FBdev option to true actually makes r300 work... but it does
hang occassionally and there are missing vertices and textures in
tuxkart.(screensavers do work well).
May be
I have the same thing on my iBook. Radeon 9550 here, an I *know* it works with
r300. I had it working in another distro (gentoo) with vanilla kernel and xorg
- no special patches. Not sure what's wrong here. maybe drm version is too old ?
What I get in dmesg is:
