I've discovered a crash scenario:
I had the "Folder --> Discussion thread" option activated. I deleted
(SHIFT+DEL) a message that was the first in its thread and had one more
behind it, and that crashed KMail. I restarted the program, repeated the
action and conf

By the way, my KMail version is 1.9.1 using KDE 3.5.2.
The cache deleting advice by Eythian is great and solves the problem (at
least, this time). You have to delete the files at:
.kde/share/apps/kmail/imap
Including the hidden ones beginning by "."

This bug happens to me too. I don't want to change to tunderbird :-(
I'm also using IMAP, and the crash only occurs when some particular
messages are stored in the folder, but I can't discover what ones they
are. In previous cases, when the messages were deleted, the problem
disappeared.

Just wanted to say this problem affects me daily. Lately I can't run
KMail for more than an hour without it crashing. I have given up and now
use thunderbird, but it would be really nice to get this fixed.

I'm seeing something very similar to this, and it is making kmail
unusable. Basically, it will work fine for a while, then I'll select a
message, and it'll crash. When I start it up again, it crashes again,
consistently. The only reliable way I've found of allowing it to start
is to delete all the
13 matches
Mail list logo
