I am now using the 2.6.32-19 kernel and still having this problem.
This issue is still unassigned and there hasn't been an update to the

Looks like I have the same problem. I have upgraded to Lucid Beta 1
recently, after that my external USB HDD has stopped working. Other USB
drives works fine though. My dmesg output is very similar to what is
reported in this bug (see attachement).

@arky -- could you try the latest 2.6.32-4.5 kernel. There was some
breakage with devices which claimed to offer 'enhanced' USB status but
then failed to actually provide that status when asked for it, leading
to reset loops such as this. Please report back here. Thanks!
