Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Using Ubuntu Lucid, after some updates of pulseaudio (0.9.20.0ubuntu1),
I now have no sound. I get the speaker icon in my notification area, and
I can open sound preferences and move the sliders - the sound isn't
muted (and my speakers are working, tested!) . I get no sound at any
point, neither at boot, log-in, playing cds, ogg or theme sounds.
