Same as the previous comment, it was working perfectly with 9.10.
But after the installation of 10.04, the network wasn't working and the mouse
did not respond after clicking on the user account in gdm login screen.
I have tried the updates, the kernel-mainline 2.6.34 and I also build my
own vani
This bug affects me in 10.04, but not in 9.10. 9.10 is working
perfectly.

Hi Rgem,
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it
recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the
latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

ubuntu server 9.10, running on a firewall
the worst possible error for a firewall...
it seems to me hardware fault, but might be kernel as well.
i have no hope of fixing it, i'm gonna change the NIC because i need the
firewall running.
but if it can help, here goes the logs.
