Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase
The kde4 in karmic (and also jaunty) destroys the my Xressourecs set in the file /etc//X11/Xresources/xbase-clients and are loaded by /etc/X11/Xsession.d/30x11-common_xresources Note that the resssources are lost during the execution of the script startkde. They can be restored by issuing by hand after kde has started the command xrdb -merge /etc//X11/Xresources/xbase-clients Curiously, the X ressources are preserved if one has checked in the control panel the item "force the PPP of fonts", which sets the Xft.dpi ressource. Of course when KDE set the Xft.dpi, it would not destrpy it. By why it destrys other resources (my XEmacs ressources in particular) when the Xft.dpi ressource is not set ?
