You can reproduce the error by doing this :
Use nautilus to display a remote directory (ex. SFTP)
Extract a tar.gz to any remote directory, it will extract the files properly,
but will complain about utime warnings.

The problem is reproducible in my case, in the following way:
1. Download the truecrypt-6.3a-ubuntu-x64.tar.gz from
http://www.truecrypt.org/downloads
2. Extract the file using file-roller (right-click and choose extract, or
simply drag and drop onto any writeable directory).

It's from some weeks i noticed this.
I was not sure.
If i try to extract .themes i get permits error.
But i extracted archive from root :-(
I tried this with others archives and in more pc, and it is the same story.
If i extract the archive from Window Manager Icewm, it works.
