The problem seems to have righted itself and I am now able to use my
calendar/tasks without any problems so it must have been a temporary
thing. Thank you for your attention.

What do you mean, you are closing this report. Something is really
wrong when your calendar software all of a sudden loses all the
appointment information. What is the point of having a calendar if it
can't be used.

I have also noticed that Tasks are no longer working - I cannot add new
tasks any more and all the tasks I had created have disappeared
