looks like it works flawlessly with ibusalthough installing ibus and
getting it to work after installing scim was a royal pain (finally just
did a clean install) but no issues, going to close this since scim seems
to be outdated. Thanks!

#1 might be incorrect as I have uninstalled scim and everything
associated with it because of the issue, I will reinstall and see if the
lm-switch changes

This problem still exists in Alpha 1 of 10.04 and it's really really
frustrating. I use three languages on my system and frequently I cannot
type because of scim. As soon as I remove scim the problem is solved,
this has been confirmed on three systems now, I am on the verge of
leaving Ubuntu becaus
