This bug has been fixed as debian bug 436523 : /usr/bin/barcode: man
page run together. This fix is now available in Hardy.
barcode (0.98+debian-3) unstable; urgency=low
* doc/manpager seems to need gawk to produce proper manpages
(Closes: #436523).

This bug appears to have been reported and fixed in Debian. The fixes
appear in version 0.98-2, which is in Edgy. If someone running Edgy
could confirm that, this bug can be closed.
