Thank you very much for the reply, it sounds very logical. But if I be
compared to Mandriva
, but it has a separate control panel. Here you can see the various network
cards.
It is OK you may well close this bug - it's another way kde sees things.

It doesn't show up by default because you can't really change the
autoconfigured wired connection NetworkManager gives. You have to make a
new one, which will then show up.
