Does it work if you use the full path for the file instead of prefixing the
filename with "~"?
I was able to use the -i option "-i
/var/downloads/s-u/ubuntu.com/ubuntu-12.04-desktop-amd64.iso" with version
0.2.23.

I am also facing this problem. I cannot even add an image with
"Other..." button. No errors, no messages while launched in console.

I can confirm that dragging and dropping does not work (has not been
implemented) but you should have no issue browsing and selecting an ISO
file by clicking on the "Other..." button.
