Another sufferer of this bug here.
I get these garbled network names and the Ad Hoc networks I create
disappear and reappear in the Network Manager user interface (and
"iwlist scan"s from other PCs) with no rhyme nor reason.
I have upgraded to the daily trunk builds from the Network Manager PPAs,
I can confirm this bug. Most attempts at creating an Ad-Hoc connection
result in constant connect/disconnects. A couple times I have managed to
get it to stay connected temporarily but at some point everything goes
haywire and then I start seeing networks appearing in the list with
garbled names th
