My 4gb ipod had over 400 songs and then i pluged it in and it all
disapreed, then it says that i only have 1.1gb left when their is
nothing on it, i restarted severl times and nothing happens, please help

I wanted to tell you that I now use songbird for ipod reasons. the iPod
plug-in works excelent there. it seems to be more advanced in general, but I
would still preferre to have a ubuntu approved package like rhythmbox is.

from the iPod (by using Gtkpod) and now manage the iPod with Rhythmobox
only. I can drag&drop files to the iPod and they save when ejecting via
hythmbox. the basics work well, but 2 things related to playlist still

Well if the ipod is full there's nothing you can do basically, just
remove a few songs and as an advice try to use only one program to
manage your ipod, gtkpod writes the db in a diff way than rhythmbox they
use the same library in the end but not the same nomenclature, maybe try
to backup you ipod

thank you for your response and time for me to apologize - I guess. the
iPod is 100% full (see below) and of course cannot store any more songs.
however, there are only 227 songs visible. I believe I did fill the iPod
with 'invisible' songs when trying gtkpod to manage songs on the iP

copy anything to that /media/ipod location? what's the output of df -hT
