Public bug reported: Binary package hint: avidemux
This problem has existed ever since avidemux started inserting weird meta tags into encoded video files, i.e. many releases ago. They are as follows: chanwei...@raptor:~$ AtomicParsley "Evan Almighty.mp4" -t Atom "©nam" contains: Evan Almighty.mp4 Atom "©ART" contains: Avidemux Atom "©wrt" contains: Avidemux Atom "©too" contains: Lavf52.37.0 In some files (usually long-playing ones), totem simply does not display any video and audio becomes distorted. Playback is normal when using mplayer. Meta tags have to be stripped by AtomicParsley before the file can be played back normally.
