Ok. The logs are empty, but the terminal window is full of info, so I did copy
that instead.

Also, could you please try using rdesktop directly, like so?
$ rdesktop -rsound:remote remotehost
--This works fine, it plays the sound on remote computer.

This is implemented in Edgy, which passes the -rsound:remote argument to
rdesktop, when you select Remote computer sound: On remote computer.

1. What remote machine do you use?
2. Where do you expect the sound to come from?
3. What is the exact error message that gets spit out? Which
machine displays it?
Specific information will help us narrow down the problem.
