This problem does not occur with Ubuntu 10.04 (same laptop), therefore I
changed the status to Fix Released.

If I remove _both_ battery and AC while the hibernation is still in progress,
how can it be completed???
Apart from that I won't do it because the damage risk would be to high...

Can you easily remove/re-insert your laptop battery? If you do your
steps to reproduce the bug, but then remove both battery and AC at the
same time** (and then put them back), can you still resume? (in which
case it seems like it was suspended to both disk and ram, but taking
away the power
