I just did a fresh install of 10.04 final (fresh ISO downloaded today).
The Compaq 610 switched off after approximately 30 seconfs.
During this time the screen displayed the new Ubuntu logo together with three
red and two white dots below. There is no visible action on the screen during
this 3
That bug is still presents at Lucid Lynx beta 2.

Guys,
please ignore this bug.
Actually I've found that after some time the laptop actually turn off
correctly.
It takes a long time (about 30 sec I think), but it eventually works.
