I don't know what happened, but (after update?) things are -currently- looking a lot better. My asus still overheats from time to time (typical for asus apperently) and then kacpid kicks in, but now, instead of staying up there hogging my cpu, it falls back into the small cpu-usage category. Don't

Final Workaround: I disabled in the BIOS "fan controlled from operating system". My BIOS allows to set a fixed speed (from 50% up to 100%) or speed controlled by operating system. Now I have put the speed fixed to 50% and this is fixed fixed fixed. Please let me know if you need further informat
