"/usr/share/dict" should exists and be a directory.. From "man look", the default dictionary is /usr/share/dict/words. This file belong to the "dictionaries-common" or "wamerican" packages. Can you check you have one of this packages ? ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- No
